    Series front door top windows

I’ve just installed the sliding windows using our host’s door top kit ( Window Fixing Kit Series Door Top Model #: RNA0349). Once installed, however, the glass alignment seems off. The rear pane slides far back enough that the vertical rubber seal slides past the end of the front pane (see photos). I believe I did the install correctly and followed along a YT tutorial by steamwally. My only thought is that more aluminum shims behind the vertical felt track would fix the issue but look pretty bad. Any ideas to fix or identify improper install would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, all.

It's been forever since I've done one of these, but I wonder if the vertical rubber seal isn't deep enough? Is it new, or are you re-using original?

Or, perhaps there's too much of a gap between the two panes of glass.

Best of luck in the upcoming project, Jim.

Myron, the seals are new from Rovers North. When sliding, the seal does in fact make contact with the other pane. The issue is that once the sliding pane is fully slid back, the seal overshoots the edge of the static pane.

here's the rest of the story!, my e-bay window tops are a deal and no complaints at all but i'll detail for everyones reference some differences i can't account for :at the top of the door above the glass mid window there is a 3/8" hole (apx) that may accomodate a window lock of a style I am unfamiliar with. // there is a 2" wide composite material seemingly glued to the window bottom and would cover up the traditional window lock hole if it is there. thus; there is no window lock.
As 'roverkid' mentioned, window channel seems thicker than oem but thus far it seems like it may be advantageous over the original?
my whole cab has to be moved forward about a inch in order to get the doors from hitting the roof........ the drivers door misses the roof by .030" and i won't put the RH side on yet for it will hit the top and bend/break something. more saving for a sunny day.
