Josh, don't get rid of that one ever. I've heard of the special 109 that defies gravity but didn't really believe it until you posted pictures. Absolute proof it does exist. Stunning.
Hello dear LR series owners;
Here with my rock band & my 1970 LR SIIa, having a break and getting inspiration at the Andes in Arequipa-Peru, Nevado Chachani.
Thanks - I'm enjoying it! This one had been restored around 1999-2000 and used very little since. I've put in the Global Roamer Overdrive and gone through all the basic systems. It's a blast. The overdrive is such a HUGE plus vs the 1969 Series III I remember from college in 1979-1981. It drives great with the OD and the restoration work at the turn of the century is still very fresh. Overall a great vehicle thus far.
Thanks, Colin. I see you on this forum a lot, giving good advice and encouraging others.
Also drove it to a pretty cool overlook on the Cumberland River today - all in all, a very good day with the Rover after an all day marathon work session with it yesterday.
Went on a black coffee and omelette expedition this morning with temperature at 43 degrees. It was a little cool...but warming up nicely as the day progresses. First trip with the new mud flaps which have been substantially re-worked / improved since receiving them from Paddock's [BritPart].
