Thanks for the welcome. I love Bend, lots to do and see here, with plenty of good rovering options.

I actually got it from Ike, and was told it came out of Reno.

Well I had to fork out some cash for it, 5 bucks for a Forest Service tree permit.

excellent! like the blog, very entertaining (and nice break down on shipfitter's disease). surprised that domain was still available!

really good fade on that green. way into it.

let me ask about the rear seat straps. i'm in the process of gathering materials so i can strap up the rear seats. got any input on the set up? leather? nylon webbing? twine? what do you have for attachment points?

            very nice! ^

Actually it wasn't, but it was not in use either. So I emailed the owner and explained to him why I wanted it and asked if he was willing to sell - and he was. In fact he was an incredible sport and all he asked for was me to make a donation to charity (which I did). Thrilled to have it

I believe he has myotherman.com if anyone needs it. LOL

I have no idea of it's stock but it sure seems to be. The material appears to be canvas and is riveted on one end and has a simple hook on the other. Here are some pics.

LOL. Not likely, although you'd make my wife happy. I've weened myself down to 3.5 rovers and will probably stabilize at 2.5 at some point. If I had the time/space/money I'd own one of every model!

truth! where you hiding the point 5? i'd settle for a nice mid 60's RHD series for historical appreciation (which I have), plus a nice 90 or 110 that i could beat up.

                    someday...

That's a sweet setup! I wish the 2.25 had enough a$$ to haul something like that .
How stable was the rear end while sleeping, did you ever feel like it wanted to lift the tougue off the ground ?

You would be surprised how much a 2.25 can haul. Bring it down to me and I can get you singing.

You should have seen what our 2.25 could do launching our ambulance/camper up and over Forrest's dirt pile the other weekend!
