I drove by the shop today and looked at my Rover...Maybe someday, with enough money, Ill get to drive it again.

Finally got around to installing the new clutch/brake fluid reservoir that ive had since summer. I was having a heck of a time bleeding the clutch after. I gave up and will try again tomorrow. While i was under the 109 I wiggled my front drive shaft and just as i thought, its totally worn out. After the parabolics and 33's it has almost an inch of up and down play in at the slip joint. Good thing i saw RN has them on sale! I still cannot figure out why its been stuck in 4x4 since i rebuilt everything. All the linkages move fine but cant get it out of 4. Ive been running through my mind for days trying to think of what i put together wrong to cause this?

I got a phone call that my Uncle Tex had broke down in front of the hardware store. So I jumped into the Rover and ran down to see what I could do as it is a rolling mechanics tool shop it was the best vehicle to take on a rescue mission. well we couldn't get his van to start and as it is a lot more complex than my trusty old 68 out came the tow strap and down the highway we went (at 10 mph, low range 3rd gear) well the three mile trip took about 15 minutes and when I turned off the highway on to a town road I didn't even have to slow down for the school zone. Got his van to the repair shop and spent more time with the mechanic looking at my Rover. The best thing is that on the way home at a more civilized speed (45 MPH through town on the highway) we passed a speed trap with the commercial vehicle inspectors on the side of the road. They would of had a hayday with me pulling the Uncles van down the shoulder of the highway. So the Rover god was looking out for us.

Put the new to me roof rack on the 109. bought it of off a guy from the Okanogan so he brought it to Cranbrook for me as he was delivering a 76 series III to its new owner. When I drove up to meet them here was this Rover with two sets of legs sticking out from under the truck. I got out and siad now that is something you never see two guys on the ground under a Rover.

Well got the rack home with bungy cords and got it bolted down to the rain gutters. The Rover finally looks right. They look ***** without a roof rack. I am going to take it off when I get to Jeff City MO and have it flat black powder coated. I have a bit of welding to do and clean it up first. All in all happy to have it.

Just a side note the rack comes from a rover that has traveled all over the world so now the rover is well traveled

She is a great dog goes everywhere with me. When I go near the rover she gets really excited as it is the only vehicle that she is allowed to travell in other than the back of a truck box. She has her own seat that she sits on.

Took advantage of the nice weather to do the brakes and shocks on the front of the SWB RRC. Always takes longer than you think. I had to dodge one curve ball; the LH swivel railco bush was toast, so new swivel everything. That added two extra hours. Had to finish under lights.

I made tooling and reground my rockers.... This has been bugging me for a while but I finally got to do ti.

If you've got it, can you show a pic of the jig you Made in process?? Doubt I'd do it but I love me a good jig. Looks like its attached somehow to the cross feed?

Installed tune up kit, rebuilt front prop shaft on SWB RRC. Need to rebuild RH swivel to pass inspection.

Great day Friday! Stock climate monitoring system working great now. Bit of an outlaw though as the Ser III STPS failed allowing a gps'd run of 56 mph in a 50 zone. Feeling the need to find a few mattress tags to rip off!
