      Jim,

      I used this: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...entifier=60077

It was on sale and I decided to give it a try. It has a really high rubber content and went on well. Only complaint is that it was a bit runny so I would have to go back after it started to tack up and move the puddles out of the low spots. No big deal, this isnt a concourse beauty by any means.

I think it turned out well, i can provide more pictures of the foot wells if you want.

Had this week off, so I finally got around to replacing the rotted sections on my 109's door frames. Next I am going to try and get them galvanized. Anyone making a galvanizing run in the near future? If so and you would like to share costs, let me know as this is all I have right now and it isn't even close to the minimum lot weight.

Richard - I'm actually thinking Linex or the like on my bulkhead. I will try the Autozone material on my spare seatbox and on my floorboards where either I don't anticipate heavy wear or it can easily be touched up and because I can control the thickness. Thanks for the tip. Did you apply it with a roller or a brush or both?

HybridIIA - You could try calling Matt Browne or the folks at ECR and see if they plan on a galvy run. I'm pretty sure that Matt uses a place in MA. I'm not sure where ECR takes their stuff but it wouldn't hurt to deal with a place that understands and tolerates Rover bits.

              Hybrid,

How did you remove the door skins? This is something I have to do in the near future.

I guess you are making a soft top 5 door or else you would have not cut the tops off your unobtanium middle doors. If those are the ones with the drain holes...oh the horror...

I went to the bother of removing all the frames from the bonnet and rear doors. My galvy run will be after I get the bulkhead done. Baltimore Galvanizing. You can send me your door frames and I will include them if you wish. I have literally a ton of stuff.

You gently pry up the bent over flap all the way around. My go-to tool is a flat pry bar.

Ha... don't worry, the middle doors aren't the originals off of my 109, they are actually early 110 doors. '83 and '84 110 middle doors had removable, all aluminum door tops and both pieces of glass slide... similar to the D90 soft top front doors.

Thanks for the offer to go in on your next galvy run, but I think shipping costs back and forth will kill me.

btw, if you are looking for some original 109 middle doors with the drain holes, I think Ike had some in that NOS parts container that he recently picked up.

Used both Jim. The roller for the large open areas and a brush to get in to the corners and tight spots.

Hi All! New to the fold.

I picked up my first Land Rover today. Derek Chace's '82 109.
Derek and I had a good time this morning Even got to drive his new Ambulance.
I have been lurking on the RN Forum for a few years now and finally bit the bullet. I will be asking alot of noob questions in the future.

                        Cheers,

                        PJ

                              Paint

I painted the interior of my 109 keswick green. The outside comes next.
