Anyone know how much a hardtop w/side panels weighs in at? I am creating a one man lift pulley system and want to make sure that I don't go under the weight...or overkill.

that's my thoughts as well.
I know that the full size bronco tops had a factory spec of 150 lbs. I can't think taht ours would be heavier.

definitely less than 150. big issue is the awkwardness of the roof once it's unbolted. easier than a pulley system would be you and a buddy or your significant other. i used to take it off alone and it was the balancing that was always the issue, not the weight.1970 88 IIAComment

(to the OP)
A basic 3-1 chain fall pully should be more than enough to lift it and ease any tension on the lines that you use to hold the top. I'm thinking about doing this in my garage too so please post some pics when you get your's installed.64 IIa 88

One man roof lift
Here it is...
Materials:
4 - Eye bolts
4 - Lock Washers
4 - Nuts
8 - Washers
2 - 2x4
2 - 2x6
2 - Ratchet Straps
I took the 2x4s and 2x6s and made some what of an "I" beam....or more of a "L". My thought was that this would had some strength. Drilled holes through the drywall and the beams and attached the eyebolts.
Attached the rachet straps to through the windows, undid roof bolts and began to rachet the roof up. I placed a moving blanket on top of the roof and placed the door tops up there.
