Anyone building rock sliders for a 88? I know rovers north offers a set, I know Ike built them in the past, but is to busy to build any now. Any fab guys on here building them? Like a gentleman said in a older post, i don't want to reinvent the wheel. I could build them, but i am having a hard time getting enough time to build them. Just wanting some options for these for the sliders. Anyway any help would be appreciated.

options..
I too looked into Ike for the sliders . I bought my front winch bumper from him. It too forever, and ever.... BUT the design was well done and the cost was ok . Nice build, I looked at every weld. I don't need poor attachments to let go on a 8 hour pull out of the hell hole at winter romp.
If you can wait .... buy from pangolin/Ike.
If you need sooner , buy from our hosts.
I have the roversnorth sliders and the are beefy and work well. Easy install ....when the install info is sent.....a quick pdf and they were on in 1 hour...
also well made but not as rounded at the ends. Your choice, time or money....
KrisWhence came you my brother ? From the East....Comment

I just make my own. That way if it's late I've got no one to yell at but myself. And if a weld breaks.....same thing....And....you can't beat the price!Jason

mrdoiron posted a picture of his sliders in response to your question.
Also, sliders stick out from the body side a bit so that rocks and stumps do not go into the door.
Here are some more pictures:
This is the first and second series.
Guinness sliders.
Red Eared Sliders...
Canadian sliders...
This is an awesome wave slider...
Here is the electric sliders... If you can do it right, its "electric"!
Some people don't like sliders...

Wow, my truck was more blue with many fewer dents back then.....
I love my sliders. Visually they replace the 'sills' under the door. Structurally they're way different. Mine do stand proud of the bodywork by about a half inch, which is a good thing.
Very handy, useful and protectiveAndrew

yeah I really want a set like those for my 109, apart from the off road protection the added structure would certainly help in a t-bone accident from the side, which would be nice since the "crumple zone" is basically the entire truck._________________________________________
