Sorry, that is a little deceiving. The wheel and tire you see is a 9.00 X 16 that I plan to run. It is propped up against, which you can just barely see, the securely mounted in place with drive flange and lug nuts, 235 ?? X 16!sigpic

My family bought a new Discovery Series 2 in 1999 when I turned 16. That rover made camping and ski trips with friends an absolute dream. I have always been a Land Rover fan. Two months ago, I became an addicted enthusiast. I passed an aging dealership that had a classic Land Rover out front. After inspecting and test driving the thing, I knew I wanted it, but I knew nothing about it. I spent 14 hours over the course of 2 days reading everything I could get my hands on. I no longer wanted the Land Rover, I NEEDED it. The dealer had mentioned that he was being forced to close so everything had to go by week's end or it would hit auction. I brought him a lowball check and he agreed to sell.
I became the proud owner of a 1969 Series IIA. I have been scouring this forum for the last few months and it has proved to be an incredible resource, and supportive community. I like it here...
Too many words...
This is a pic of my partner inspecting our new toy when I brought it home.
I had to take the top off for summer.
I drive my rover everyday.
I have been surprised how simple everything is on this truck, but a lot of the casual maintenance I have done was made very easy thanks to the information on this forum. Thank you all for building such an incredible knowledge base and I hope to start contributing in the future.1969 Series IIA 88
