New gas tank treated with Waxoyl, new fuel guage sender. Haven't had a working gas guage in 6 months. Life is good.

The fumes from too much 90wt makes me a little slow on the uptake too! You're not alone!

LR= Land Rover, that made too much sense to me and I had to over complicate things. I think I've been trouble shooting to many problems and not spending enough time behind the wheel lately!!!!

Probably left rear spring of the truck. I don't recall ever seeing a front or back of the spring itself. That's unless it has a wedge shaped spring pad.

Edit: Nevermind...I just caught on to the fact that the spring is on the front of the truck (unless it's a rear steer setup!). Perhaps the LR just indicates it's a spring for a Landrover...

I was looking at the pictures admiring your work and I noticed the LR written on the spring. Do these letters have any significance? I can't remember if the front springs have a front and back or can go on any which way. If the LR did mean something I would think that would be the rear of the left spring?!?! I know someone will set me straight, thanks!

well the might as wells have grabbed me with the radiator repair job on the 58 S1. The radiator panel and front right frame has a little surface rust so I pulled the wings , panel is next. Doing this now will prevent needing to pull the radiator again later. Will clean up the front of the frame and radiator panel. Also need to get the gunk, thickest I've ever seen' off the engine. It is hard as a rock can barely scrape it off. I found the source of the leak that this gunk originated from. The oil feed pipe to the head had a leak, had a bad repair at the top fitting.

Took the Series to work today, should be about 69F later. I did make a AUX light for my Series IIA. Plugs in using the 12v plugs.

Took Cedryck for a drive with dogs, blasted through large snowbanks on my property in 2wheeldrive, then needed to wash off mud and snow from underside of car, fun!

I finally got the new Flaming River Tilt column attached to the 2012 Jeep Wrangler Gearbox using a Shaft from a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Next step is to get the Pitman arm to mount to the draglink. I will be cutting the S3 Link and attaching the jeep end to it. On the plus side it looks like the jeep links diameter is just about perfect to slip over the S3 one and weld. I also installed the new rear brake line I knicked with the grinder when installing the parabolic springs. Wiring continues on a daily basis. Hoping to head out to MOAB in it in May.

sand blasted most of the engine bits, painted those that need it and scrubbed on some bolt heads to remove the gunk. next step- put the little diesel back together. the wife has graciously allowed the parts to sit on the radiators to bake the paint in a little faster than the kansas weather will allow.

Washed as much of the salt and sand off as I could get. My driveway now looks like it is gravel and not hot top.
