Aired up the tires (all were just a touch low). Moved the spare from the rear door to the hood per my brother's request. Searched high and low in the truck and the garage for the bolts to hold said tire in place. My brother found them in a place I had looked twice...inside the truck.

Watched as my brother checked the transfer case and gear box oil. Dragged the bucked out 90 weight out of the garage for him and then laughed as he proceeded to spray oil everywhere but inside those boxes.

Oiled the driver and rear door latch so they would close a bit "smoother".

The entire family watched him pull out and head out to Vail. Then all laughed as he pulled back to the house. My wife pointed out that he has never left in our Rover without returning once for one reason or another. This time, he forgot his backpack.

Installed the CB radio and tried to remove the rust from the door bottoms where the mounting bolts for the door tops mount in anticipation of receiving my new door tops

Pulled the right hub because I thought that I have a bearing going south but to my pleasure it was fine. I did notice that there is some play in my swivel pins so I guess its time to pull a the thinnest shim and see if that takes it out.

Tightened my head bolts and found a few that were not up to spec. Then did compression and vacuum tests. Discovered very low levels of compression..... discovered a sticking valve (mot likely). So the heads coming off next week and it'll be going to a machine shop!! Can't wait to see if it's been skimmed or modified in any other way. .

In the last month I pulled the entire dash of my series 3 stripped off all the foam welded on some modifications so a radio will fit and sent it out for truck bed lining in black. I painted the back plate to match and added LR logos. I pulled all the wiring in the wiring in the dash to get ready for a tilt wheel install and Power steering. I modified the Gas pedal with a pedal from a jeep wrangler to add more comfortable slow speed driving. I added the tabs on the throttle linkage for a hand throttle (Using a Bike Shifting lever on the gearbox stick). I made templates for the aluminum guard plates on the wings, sides and rear. These will be installed shortly. Rebuilt my 8274 winch and prepped for install. I figured out the Glow plug wiring issue and decided to start over with a new harness. - been a busy month but she's starting to shape up. Next I tackle the springs and shocks, door rust and Seats.

Cleaned axle breathers, changed the oil, fixed a leaky valve cover gasket. Replaced a rear wheel seal which had been leaking for a few months. Took longer to clean the inside of the wheel and brake drum then it took to change the seal. First time I've pulled a rear half shaft. Thats so cool how easy it is.

Played hookie from work today. Rebuilt the Weber (throttle shaft seals leaking badly) and finally replaced the intermittant brake light switch. Very glamorous!

Installed an amplifier in my seat box, tested it out and now have to build some mounting panels for the speakers. Installed one of the new higback seats after giving in to my fear of whiplash. Feels very posh for a tractor.

I just have to exchange the push rod from the girling original. No more worn cylinder bores, I hope at least.

Swapping stuff from the 93 LeWiB to the 94 LeWiB. Tires, the Bilsteins, some small this and that. Prolly won't finish today, running out of energy and daylight.

    fluids, exhaust, wiring 58

Been up to my elbows in my new 58 109 pu. Changed all fluids, dropped the "Midisized exhaust" as called by PO. Having a hell of a time trying to locate an intermediate exhaust for it. Purchased new front and silencer and they seem correct. I am going to bend some conduit to the shape I want and have a pipe made, minus the flanges. Will make up the final tweeks and weld on the flanges. If anyone has any other ideas I'm all ears.
Also working on the wiring. The Po had installed a panel with a number of switches which I removed. Now working on tidying up all that, many things not working and some bad wiring, mostly on rear 1/2 of the truck. Made a new rear harness, plate harness, now trying to trace back the turn signals, stop lights. Don't even have power to the flasher switch so need to follow that back.
Wiring overall is not bad and follow the wiring diagrams, except where the new panel switches were added and impossible to distinguish colors. . Have to replace most of the connectors, wiring and bullets are mostly good just the shilds are disinegrated.

    Parrie,
If I can lend a hand let me know. As far as working on my Rover I started buttoning up my Rover for the winter. Installed my RN radiator muff and will put in my fume curtain today. I also need to check the front right inner wheel bearing. If it shot it may speed up my conversion to front disc brakes.
