There are always extra seats if you go the Honda route. Hook up with the Vermeaters, most of us are planning on going. I usually have a few extra seats, but I am taking a lady from our local club to get her to think about purchasing a Series rover. If all else fails, I will always have a rear seat available.

Yeah I figured it's something that I disturbed. . Just gotta get in there and trace it out.

I'd love to make it up to winter romp believe me... But I have no more personal days and getting up there alone would take two days. It's just not in the books I'm afraid. Maybe drive up in my honda and hitch a ride with someone. . ?

I was wondering how the Rover was running after the head job! I was going to PM you yesterday as I hadn't heard, but time got away from me.

Trace the wires from the high/low switch on the drivers side floor to the connectors behind the front grille. I believe there is a connection in the wire somewhere near the engine block near the bulkhead that you probably need to clean up. I must have disturbed it while you were fiddling. It happened to me this summer, and a quick go around with the various electrical fittings fixed the issue.

Congrats on the winch, but why the hibernation? The Maine Winter Romp is coming up in February!

Installed the rebuilt head and got it running again. Need to set the valves again, hopefully this ticking will go away. . I don't want to have to dig into the engine again!!

But now my high beams don't work. . hmmmmm

Disconnected the battery and put it all away for winter hibernation.

Found and bought my rover a capstan winch on Christmas day!!!!!!! That will be a fun springtime install.

    66 Series IIA FFR

Replaced the FFR rotor and fired up the engine with it's new head. (It's ALIVE!!!)

Replacing a rotor always sounds simple, however a P/O had broken the key off of the original and then glued it onto the distributor shaft with silicon bathtub caulk.

Switched Brake Master cylinders on my '66 88 so that I can send the bum one back to Rovers North.

Kudos to Les and RN for great customer service and help with ways to diagnose and make sure it was the master cylinder and not something else!

My right front brake was grabbing and pulling hard to the right in ice and snow.
Haven't worked on drum brakes in a very long time but it ended up being lots of brake dust
in the left front brake drum. Now its happy braking in ice and snow.
Here are a few pics of the old girl at work with my M100 trailer.
My son and I split hauled a little wood to the cabin
    on Christmas eve.

I was thinking it was there to keep water from running down into the cab and maybe seal out any engine compartment fumes? Strange design though in that it has a "U-Shape" profile that could actually trap water in the pedestal area. I guess they rely on the lip and channel that hangs over it to block the water from running constantly down in there. When I bought the car it was filled with acorns from a squirrel who was using it as a storage bin!
