Not to hijack this thread, but on the wedding vehicle note:

I drove into our local park (Valley Forge Park) two weeks ago to go for a run. Parked at my usual spot, but at the time there was a wedding party with pictures being taken under the trees. I see some huddled chatting and all looking my way, then the photographer comes over and says the bride and her party want pics with my land rover. Was it OK? Duh!

Unfortunately I dont have any of the pics, but they were all over and in it, for about 10 minutes! The rover was in heaven! They even placed a blanket on the tire on the bonnet and sat up there. And yes, they were good looking too! I could also tell that they had had a fair amount of champers in their stretch limo. Looked like the groom was getting annoyed!

I wanted the pics to compete with the famed Amcordo photos. Oh well, next time

So yes, it can be a wedding vehicle.

Which reminds me, I need to post some more of those soon. It's been a while.

Said goodbye to my 1958 Series I 107 Station Wagon.

Helped load it up to a better home!

Moving across country can make you do some crazy things but now I can concentrate on my Series II and IIA Rovers!

Now I just need to figure out how to change my 'signature'!

This is what i did to my rover today:

Tore the wings off, pulled off the heater core and blower, took out the pedal boxes, took the wind screen off.

My wife said it looked like a mess to her, i said it looks like progress.

What's up with the Rovers on either side of your 107??? Who's buying up all the S1's in the country?

An evil super genius is buying up all the SI Rover's throughout the country to force the next economic bubble on us!

Lost the engine across town and spent an hour trying to figure out what was wrong. The rotor in the dizzy broke into a couple pieces, and I happened to have a spare at home. Only took 4 trips back and forth. Was pleased to have sorted it out, didn't want to leave my truck unattended.

last night around midnight i pulled the battery, voltage regulator and generator. battery is toast. regulator will probably get replaced and the brushes on the generator are finished. but the armature looks good, so just new brushes and a cleaning.
