I bought a Roverdrive!
Can't wait to install it.

i need to get one of these. you have any specifics on the model/price? pm if needed.

Pulled the steering wheel off and refurbed that and then took apart the signal mech and cleaned that up...ordered a new signal wheel from Pangolin.

i just bought a refurbed banjo. you have any pointers or tips on the removal and replacement of the wheel? pm if needed.

Removal of the wheel was easier than I expected. Hmm...tips: after removing the horn button, and the collar bolt, spray WD40 inside where the wheel goes onto the column, use the penetrating ol when putting it back too. before you remove the old wheel mark where the bottom of the wheel is on the column with masking tape.

After removing the bolt,gently tap a screw driver into the slot to wedge it apart (slightly) it should wiggle off.When you replace it make sure it seats back down so the bolt grove lines up with the bolt.This would also be a good time to find the center of the steering box and realign the steering wheel accordinly.

I drove mine down the road and found it was leaking more oil after the rear main seal was replaced then before. Guess time to take it all back out again.

I added 1/2 a liter of Oil. She is a good old rover and leaks enoungh to keep me honest and pay attention to her.

I adjusted the timing, think its right, adjusted carb ( weber), and gave an overall check around. Gearing up for my fall/winter service.

Phew...actually got my sticker. Guy at garage couldnt find headlights, figure out wipers or even start my Series so he just gave me another sticker. I love my truck

Changed out the water pump. Now trying to stop one of the radiator hoses from leaking.

Finally finished my Roverdrive installation, which spanned several days and too many hours to mention due to some unforseen circumstances.

Went out for a 30 mile drive on the highway and cruised comfortably at about 65 mph. I've had Fairey ODs in my other Rovers, and all I can say is Man, this thing is quiet! I actually passed 7 cars on the highway. And, no, none of them were broken down on the side of the road. Having the Roverdrive only makes me want more power!

Story of my life, ordered more parts. Will start working on the bell housing and overdrive swap to the new tranny tonight.
