Installed a new front pipe, mid pipe and muffler and all new hangers. Truck sounds so much better and has more power. Amazing what a drop in horse power a rotten exhaust causes. Stripped one of my brass manifold bolts so I need to order another but it will be ok for a few days with just 2. Old exhaust was shot.

This job has been in the back of my mind. Where'd you get your parts? Honest question, does the exhaust smell any better?

Everything came from our hosts except the muffler ( they are back ordered on the Proline till early november). Haven't smelled the exhaust but I can, what should I be looking for? It smells better in the cab because i'm not getting anymore exhaust gases leaking in.
It's a pretty easy job except figuring out how to get the front pipe alinged and in place. That took about as long as bolting everything else up. Hard to describe but you wil see what I mean. Not even sure how I did it, all of a sudden I had it just right and the back end of the front pipe made it over the cross member.

I finally finished replacing the clutch hydraulics and it's moving under its own power again! Soooo much more to do, but an important step.

Finally, after a several busy weeks at work, made arrangements for Daisy to be transported to my home shop...now the frame-off restoration can begin in earnest! No doubt this will keep me busy for the winter and beyond. I'm sure that I will be seeking info and words of encouragement...stay tuned.

                    Parrie,
If I can lend a hand let me know. As far as working on my Rover I started buttoning up my Rover for the winter. Installed my RN radiator muff and will put in my fume curtain today. I also need to check the front right inner wheel bearing. If it shot it may speed up my conversion to front disc brakes.

                      fluids, exhaust, wiring 58

Been up to my elbows in my new 58 109 pu. Changed all fluids, dropped the "Midisized exhaust" as called by PO. Having a hell of a time trying to locate an intermediate exhaust for it. Purchased new front and silencer and they seem correct. I am going to bend some conduit to the shape I want and have a pipe made, minus the flanges. Will make up the final tweeks and weld on the flanges. If anyone has any other ideas I'm all ears.
Also working on the wiring. The Po had installed a panel with a number of switches which I removed. Now working on tidying up all that, many things not working and some bad wiring, mostly on rear 1/2 of the truck. Made a new rear harness, plate harness, now trying to trace back the turn signals, stop lights. Don't even have power to the flasher switch so need to follow that back.
Wiring overall is not bad and follow the wiring diagrams, except where the new panel switches were added and impossible to distinguish colors. . Have to replace most of the connectors, wiring and bullets are mostly good just the shilds are disinegrated.

Swapping stuff from the 93 LeWiB to the 94 LeWiB. Tires, the Bilsteins, some small this and that. Prolly won't finish today, running out of energy and daylight.

I just have to exchange the push rod from the girling original. No more worn cylinder bores, I hope at least.

Installed an amplifier in my seat box, tested it out and now have to build some mounting panels for the speakers. Installed one of the new higback seats after giving in to my fear of whiplash. Feels very posh for a tractor.

Played hookie from work today. Rebuilt the Weber (throttle shaft seals leaking badly) and finally replaced the intermittant brake light switch. Very glamorous!
