What did you do to your Rover today?

Got up in the morning, had breakfast, got into the Rover, turned the key, hit the starter and drove to work. Came home for dinner, threw an air conditioner into the back of it, hauled it to my shop, parked...carried AC unit upstairs and installed it.
Being a nice cool day for a change, might just go out for some twilight trail riding in a bit...
Kind of boring when the Rover has been working FANTASTIC since last fall, eh??Comment

Sat down with my wiring diagram and a pad of paper and started recording connectors and wiring colors so I can sort out which lead goes where on the instrument cluster. Good times good times. On the plus side I am intimately familiar with the Series IIA wiring now.Comment

Mark, your truck has the welded on forks that are used for the rear ropes. You really don't need to install those footman loops.Comment

most of the new autosparks harness is attached to my instrument panel. Still have a few connections to figure out and I need to put a few more switches into this panel. Can't wait till I can start the truck with a key again instead of jumping the starter....on par with that is having lights that work...when asked to (something that might have been a dream of most land rover owners 40 years ago).

Removed my Brand New IIa speedo cable and replaced with a new SIII cable. Apparently an PO replaced the IIa speedo with a III at some point and I didn't bother pulling the instrument panel to check before hooking the IIa cable to the TC and snaking it up to the III speedo.
Anyone need a new IIa speedo cable? How come dumb stuff always seems so smart when your doing it?

Hardwired a power inverter to run electronic gadgetry. Next a tune up using one of them new-fangled strobe lights. Have to do this to time in Pertronix.
My wife considered herself more of a Landrover Widow than mulling around divorce. Lucky lad me.Comment

Wow--That's pretty interesting. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who is VERY curious about the Pegasus bulkheads. Once the transaction is complete and you have your bulkhead, you'll have to post your impressions on the whole deal. Same once you get it installed--Inquiring minds want to know!
PS. If you ever need a place to stay, you're always welcome here, Jim--Mark

Scrapped the new Pegasus bulkhead plan. I'm going to get something from Ike instead. I have so much more faith and trust in him to provide a high quality product that I can't spend a ton of money on an unknown across the pond. I can't afford to throw away any more money.
