Purchased a new Richard's galvy chassis for my '62 Dormobile (Daisy). At present trying to think of way to break the good news to my wife...she may not be quite as excited as I.

Rebuilt driver's door bottom, replaced a backup light lamp assembly. Painted panels I had to beat out some.

Got everything back from galvanizing, cleaned up all the slubs and clumps and thorns on Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon placed the 200 tdi/gearbox/transfer case with the X brake bracket inside the frame rails. Futzing with that took most of the remaining day but did end up with the thing in a happy place. Test fit the bulkhead, seatbox, and all OK. Measured for engine mounts, but got too dark and had to bail. The skeeters were pretty bad too.
Sunday finished alignment of engine in the frame. Measured up for the brackets. Had no steel so I ended up taking the upright 3x4 box tube off my old trailer and lopped off some brackets with the chop saw. Used drill press to make a series of holes which then became the slots in the brackets.
Took engine back out and got chassis ready to weld in the brackets. Used the tractor loader to flip the chassis on its side so that I could weld flat instead of vert. Loved it. Flipped to do the other side and the motor mounts are in. Welds not too snotty.
Got some 545 Awlgrip primer on the bare areas and called it a day.

Finshed painting the top, re-sealing the windows, installed mud flaps, mounted the rack, packed the truck up Friday, headed out to block island for some fishing and spear fishing....a little drinking as well. Met a really cool rover guy out there. Has 3, one currently on the main land he pulled out of a barn and is getting up and running again. Just got back today, unpacked her and gave her a wash and wax. Good time had by all!

I have my folding fabric sunroof 95% complete. It just needs the leading/trailing edges fine tuned to deflect leaks.

Discovered that I had lost my turn signals. I guess the old ground wire in the harness gave up the ghost. Ran a new ground and they are working again. Now all I have to do is remember why that black wire isn't connected to anything.

Haven't done anything yet, but I'm about to tackle my swivel seals and prep the beast for its yearly inspection.

I trouble-shot what I think is a fuel pump issue. truck died at drive-thru, turns over fine but will not start...fuses OK...replaced fuel pump relay....truck started and ran fine...turned truck off...tried to start again, no go...turns over fine but doesn't appear to be getting fuel. Any thoughts? Oh, by the way, did I forget to mention this is a '99 DII? Posted a thread on the DII forum but for the most part it's been ignored.
