Looks good but do yourself a favor before you go offroading. Take the tire off.

Don't ask me how I know this.

Are you suggesting the weight of the tire contributes to premature bonnet aging?

Nothing to do with the weight. It's visibility.

That far side corner can get you into a tight spot when you are negotiating new obstacles.

I knew Series Rovers could go just about anywhere but that last one is out of this world! Taking the tire off might result in one not going there if they could actually see how bad it was!! It is easier to see obstacles without the tire but you eventually get used to it and exercise more caution.

That's kind of my point. Ya can't see over the thing.

Congrats on the first ride cousindave!

A little bit of metal work…

I’ve been putting-off a sunroof install (3-foot folding fabric) and finally decided to bite the bullet. So, I removed the reinforcing ribs from the central three foot section on my 109” roof. This entailed a LOT of measuring, drilling-out ~100 spot welds, and some creative dremmel and chisel work. I had a few snafu’s, learned a lot, and despite the setbacks it looks like it will come-out much better than expected.

                            Waiting patiently

My 65 got loaded in San Diego to be transported across the country. Now I wait patiently in Florida for it to arrive.

I changed out a clutch master cylinder next to a river and then took it swimming.
