Opened the container, lovingly admired my Ser 3, researched soft tops and pickup tops... wished I had more money and time.

started playing with my bosch alternator and Ike's alternator mounting brackets. had to grind a small amount off of one mount surface so the alternator will fit the bracket. the pulleys look to line up well. now to decide how to mount the tensioner arm.

While servicing and cleaning the speedometer, I upgraded the lighting for the unit.
                      1st I got 4 12v ultrabright LED's:

Then I started gluing them to the back of the dial, since they're mono-directional, I faced them outwards to the reflecting ring on the edge of the dial like this:

I used 60 second epoxy to hold the LED's in place. The result is a very nice bright readable dial at least 3 times as bright as the original lighting:

Unfortunately this photo doesn't really do it justice. All I need to do now is upgrade the other dial with the fuel gauge and alternator gauge.

Started the process. Should have the rest of the body off next weekend, getting ready to start prepping new frame. Taking inventory.
