Picked up my 109 from the shop. Got the power steering and (I hope) the brakes fixed up too. I haven't checked the work yet, but I think the front brake isn't dragging anymore, despite the fact that I didn't see anything about it on the bill.

Jury is out on the power steering cooler location. He mounted it on the inside wing in FRONT of the grille. Kills the lines but does add a bit of "Mad Max" look to it.

Now just gotta get the valves to stop clattering, re-tighten down the shifter, some wiring, new starter solenoid and lord knows what else. Then we'll be good to go!

Washed the interior and cleaned the glass and took it out for a drive.

              hot damn... not too shabby!

is that the factory location? or did you just place it where you thought it should go?

              what did you cut with?

I just looked at some pictures of some station wagons. And eyeballed it. I cut it with a jig saw. Does look. Good

                          Nice work!

Is that the side you rolled on last weekend? I never did see any pictures from the roll but it looks like you faired well. That is to say, the truck still looks good.

                              Inverter installed in switch box

I took apart an old 80 watt inverter that plugged into a cigarette lighter and built it into a switch box that mounts in the middle of our Series III dash.

Left toggle = roof rack lights
                              Middle toggle = inverter on/off
Right toggle = interior LED lights
                              Two extra holes for expansion

                              120V plug
                              5V USB
                              12V plug
Two open holes are for the front seat heater switches.

The inverter is housed in the plastic project box at the bottom of the picture.

                                I loosened my motor mounts....

                                ...part of a larger project.
