Terry - I wondered if someone would comment on that! That is a flattering pic of the rear crossmember. In terms of install, it was a farmer's special as far as I can tell. Poorly done, including some weird cuts made into the supports running back from the cross member which probably didn't help it's strength for sure. Same with the front bumper. My guess is it was cut off an earlier truck. Because instead of bolting the unit in, someone cut through the bolt holes and then did another goofy weld up. I don't know about the quality of new bumpers, but I will probably go with something from Ike.
Not to be too much of a drama queen, but that frame really sucked. Patches just about everywhere. No attention to detail in the way things were welded. Outriggers not matching up. blah blah blah. It definitely looks more solid in the pics than it does in person.
